Kynoch lure

My wife grabbed this for me today. It was a fishing lure from a lady’s father. Thought it was a Lyman but it’s not. Anyone feel like explaining this one to me? It’s wood and hand painted.

Looks like a J-plug to me. They’re plastic today, so it may have some age to it.
 
I think thats a lucky louie plug -Bill Minser tackle company .Nice paint job:).

Q-Does it say Kynoch on the plug just curious as to the title of the post. They did make a wooden plug from 1973 to 1976 in Scotland.
 
Your wife got a great deal then way to go.
Correction the wooden ones are anywhere from the 40's to the 70's ,changed over to plastic mold kynoch's are 73-76,then luhr jensen took them over to become the j plug.
