Picked up 2 very generous scoops of minnows from Lake Erie bait and tackle and made our way to Collins. We went straight out to the pressure crack and set up by 7:30 am. It was a VERY slow start. Didn’t see a single fish for the first hour. I was planning to move and the fish started coming in. We caught around 40 perch and one decent pike. My son hooked the pike and it broke him off at the hole, 30 seconds later the pike came back and smashed my jighead! We got the pike and our teardrop back. I had a gator of a pike inhale a 5” perch that I was reeling in, it actually scared me a bit because I was just about to pull the perch out of the hole and this tank came right to the hole and bit the perch. Unfortunately he let go and continued to tease me for about 20 mins before taking off. Was a good day for me and my boy.
