Favourite Spoon Box

Tacklebuster

The other day I stepped on the latch of my 30 yr. old Flambeau spoon box. It had many repairs already, but I think it's reached the end.

I really liked it because it could hold about 80 spoons, tons of other tackle and gear such as flashers, lymans, etc. etc. etc.

I think I will have to change my approach to my tackle storage and get some new stuff and ideas.

What do some of you do for storing spoons and other great lakes gear?

Thanks,

TB

Funny I was thinking I needed something to organize my spoons and bb, searched and found the mate to be a good but pricey option. Plano has the spoon box but you have to push your spoons into the styrofoam, not so great. There really aren’t many other options.

Definitely worth the price of admission but once you buy one you'll soon find yourself buying 2 lol. I have 2 special mates now and 1 B & B(1 for spoons which is overloaded and 1 for deep diver cranks and a B & B full of RRF's and mooneyes minnows)lol and now I'm looking at buying another B & B because I ran out of room

Thanks, everyone for your replies.

I read a few reviews that the foam on the lid doesn't close tightly enough on the spoons allowing the spoons to fall off the hangers.
Are those reviews accurate?

I also saw this box, it looks very similar except that it has storage in the lid, and it claims that the foam fits well against the spoons.

However, I think it's only available online or in the US.

any opinions on this one?

Without a doubt and after previously owning 3 Special Mate Boxes....The B&B Bait boxes are 110% the best lure storage boxes on the market! They are compact, hold a ton of lures, soft sided (no hitting your shins on the boat) and are easy to carry...absolutely love them! I now own 5 of them including one for dedicated walleye spoons and another shallow one for Ripplins & Mooneye's!!!
