Fishing Report Perch (EMC)

[Red Gator]

Hit the water at 8:30 out from Shady Akers. Fished until 12:30. 25 keepers, lots of small ones. A few sun fish and rock bass as well. Didn't seem to mater if we used minnows or worms. There were around 10 boats in the area. Great morning

Yeah, Red Gator. It sounds like we anchored on a sweet spot because friends not far from us were not doing as well. We were getting lots of dinks until the wind picked up before noon and after that most of the fish biting were keepers with several over 12". Not all that interested in those really big perch but they are fun catching and even though they are not the best eating we rarely throw them back. That is especially true this year.
