Off Topic Gar Pike

it would be 3 weeks back when I made a trip with the family down past the provincial park in longpoint , when boating up to shore there were a pair of fish that really resembled gar pike that were swimming in the shallows.

They would have been in the neighbourhood of 24 in length.

Thought it was preaty cool , pointing them out to my kids.

one more species that i did not realize exists out there.

you can catch them by Labatts Dam in London. I've seen many there, but never been able to catch one.

lots of them in Niagara River. they are not interested in anything.

Does anyone know if you can eat gar pike?
I like pike when it is cleaned right but I have never caught a gar pike before.

Lots of them in the Thames. Friend of mine pulled one in while we were out in Komoka

There's a kayak guide who will take you out for them in long point. I can't remember the website or the name of the business.. but I was on his website awhile back
