Lund track system downriggers

I finally have started to install the riggers on my 2017 Lund 1750 rebel. After doing some research and asking some questions this is what I’ve decided. I’m mounting mine on the rigger attachment for the track system but I’m mounting a board to that then the rigger to the board. This is for ease of on and off quick release if you will. With the board all the way across I figure it will offset the twist on the track that others have experienced with the thin track system. My buddie Mike made me a pvc top that I screwed to the 2x6 which I will paint black as per the wife if I’m ever going to take it on the water lol. I am almost done and will update when I finish this weekend. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I’m new to down riggers.

I did the same on my Alaskan but it interfered with raising the engine all the way up. I made these mounts up in the shop--super strong and easily removed.

Had same issues with my Lund Rebel 1625. Full board eliminates the use of the rear flip seats and interfered with tilt on outboard. Bent up 2 simple mounting plates out of 3/8 aluminum and mounted swivels on them. Doesn't interfere with the storage lockers on either side. Good to go!!

I mounted my riggers with swivel bases directly onto the trac. I am limited to a 4 lb ball. Not the greatest but works ok. The smaller ball means more blow back but I found a chart for this so works out. Found the fish last year with this system.
