Counting down the days for March break to take the family down to Florida. We go to a nice gated trailer park up on the panhandle every year, which has its own small pier onto a lagoon that I take my son fishing every day and try our luck (half the time I have to google what we just caught!). It's a modest pier with hydro at the fillet table, and somehow a cooler full of cheap American beer sitting on the bench (y). Photos from 2017, will update with current ones soon!IMG_20170312_195144.jpg

Drove through that :poop: blizzard yesterday heading south. Me & the Mr.s drove straight through the night & made it here in good time this morning.

Cohersed the boy out of the heated pool to go fishi'n with his old man. Somehow that damn cooler full of cheap Merican beer showed up again this morning & someone may have been double fisting ..... "I'm not a drunk, I'm CANADIAN!"

Good times, no fish to report yet! Off to the local tackle shop for live bait tomorrow (y)IMG_20180309_1538463.jpgIMG_20180309_1531497.jpg

Went out last night with the boy for a hour or so with some luck fishing the Spanish Mackerel. Glad I had wire leaders as they are like friggin piranhas when they hit! We were using shrimp on slip float bobber rigs & casting spoons (yes Williams @Dmanwithnoname ) didn't get a shot of mini me with a fish, just a few shots of not catching fish.

Today was the crap day for the week, so we made the road trip to BPS & Dicks Sporting goods. Picked up some of the saught after whopper poppers for LPB and some other necessary tackle I can't get anywhere else, I told Mrs EV.

Spoke with the locals today & found out that the Spanish Mack's like chasing fast bait, so I will have
to speed up my retrieve. Also cigar minnows are the choice live bait tomorrow to use. Hopefully tomorrow will be more productive with this information & bait.....unless that cooler of unproductivity shows up again!

This is got to be the best way to "launch" your boat. $30per foot per month gets you indoor storage. Just call them up, they pull it out off the shelf & drop it in a slip. When your done, they pull it out, wash the salt off & run fresh water through the engines and put your toy back on its shelf! Couldn't believe how fast they were moving them around today.
