Windy Weekend

This warning was just issued as the thunder and lightning began and within 3 minutes hearing it, the rain began falling here at home......Nice of them to let us know after it's started.

Severe thunderstorm warning in effect for:

  • London - Parkhill - Eastern Middlesex County
  • Strathroy - Komoka - Western Middlesex County
At 3:56 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.

Radar indicates a cluster of thunderstorms currently southwest of London moving northwards at 60 km/h. These thunderstorms could produce gusts 90 to 110 km/h. There have been reports of strong winds and power outages at Port Stanley and the radar at 3:50 pm is indicating possible 110 km/h winds near Komoka.
