LPWA President Glenn Hanson requested that info relative to hunting at the Unit after the December 20th closure be posted here. The duck season (Black Ducks excepted) runs to January 10, 2015 and weather permitting the Waterfowl Unit may be hunted using the "Self Serve" system on the usual hunting days. However, Big Creek blinds are closed after December 20th and Canada Geese may only be hunted until December 30th in the area. Participants are reminded that extra care must be exercised because nobody is there to verify that everyone is safely checked out at days end. Participants are also asked not to park in front of the park gate. Good luck to all.
