Had a chance to see the Thames today, while on the 402 river crossing near Delaware. Looked more like a lake then anything else. Looking North West from the bridge, Hwy 2 was no more then 20/30 feet from the water's edge. At normal levels the river bank, has to be 1/2 - 3/4 mile away.
If this rain stops, how long would you think it'll take the water to drop down to "normal" levels for this time of year?

Good Question @Dand.Because this is the Highest Level the Thames River has seen since 1977,it is hard to say, because a fellow that I was talking to today at Fanshawe Dam said that there is more rain coming this weekend!! I am guessing a week to a week and a half to get back to its “normal” level.Lets hope so,before the Walleye Season closes in Zone 16!! Some photo’s from Fanshawe Dam and Fanshawe Lake around noon hour today.Tight Lines & Walleye’s On,if we get a chance!! ????

Yes,the good old days is Right,@dave w.I used to drive to the Bothwell area back then.Well,we can only hope that there will be SOME Walleye’s left around this area, once the Walleye Season opens again,I don’t need a lot of Walleye’s,that is why I don’t do the Long drive to the Detroit River, with my boat, where they Catch a lot!! But,one or two Walleye’s here and there in the Delaware area, suits me just Fine!! Good Luck,& Tight Lines!! ????ya i know red.as you know most are gone by last week in april.i use to follow them on there way back.thamsville area ,after it opened on april 15th...the good old days.haha
