Off Topic New 12V Battery Chargers

New battery chargers indicates "Norm" "AGM" "GEL" but no "Deep Cycle" Any suggestions? Checked on-line and all but a few provide the same choices. My old charger failed to automatically shut off and probably overcharged my deep cycle battery. Any help would be appreciated.

The short answer is likely ‘NORM’
It would appear that battery charger manufacturer is looking for the battery construction type and if you have a standard marine deep cycle battery they are a ‘normal’ lead acid battery not AGM or Gel.

What is the make and model of charger?

@Duck Soup... As far as I know Arnie all the new smart chargers will charge deep cycle batteries safely whether lead acid, AGM or GEL.

As others have said, 'norm' is for deep cycle lead acid batteries @Duck Soup.
