5 mile marker

Went out of Nanticoke this morning. Lake was flat but the haze made it hard to see for a while especially the stacks while out on the water. Lost one nice bow and that was the only action we saw except for the millions of bugs:eek::arghh:. Heard someone radio about going to the 5 mile marker, setting up and going out to 80 - 90 feet and killing the eyes. Can anyone tell me where is the 5 mile marker?

The Five mile buoy(EA8) is 5 miles south of Hoover Marina. 80-90 fow is well beyond that point.

I was out there but west a little. Had a few really hard hits on my lead core rod with a worm harnesses out but this was a home made one that has poor quality hooks. Whatever hit it the first time broke the top hook and the other 2 times they didn't set. That was closer to the middle of the elbow. But that was it. I switched over to spoons and body baits and still nothing. I was in 60ft. Looking at this:

I almost believe the radio chatter they are deeper now unless you go east a little. The lake didn't look like that 2 weeks ago. The last cold spot is warming up pretty quick. Look at just 48 hrs ago:

The next week of hot weather will make it soupy out there.

I think a lot of this is bs talked to guys at marina and they say same thing fish are moving burwell here we come last try tomorrow:poop::banghead:

I was out in AM with my son.. We had pretty good luck in 60-65 fow. Landed 4 nice eyes 3-7 lb. Lost one when had some difficulty with the trolling motor and I must have let some slack in the line. All on body baits. One on rigger (black and red) and 3 on dipsey 200 ft back on a blue and chrome Rapala.
