Personally, I would fire a bore scope down there and have a look. Lube the cylinders with lube of choice. Diesel, 2 stroke, atf, take your pick. Let it sit for a couple days, or more depending on what was seen through the scope. Change the water pump. Pull the coil wires and roll it over for 10 to 15 sec at a time. Shove the bore scope back down and see what you have. If everything is good to go, rebuild the carb and run it a little rich with an extra shot of oil in the fuel. Like six grand says 25:1, for a few litres of fuel.
