Wildwood

live to fish

Well-Known Member
just wondering if anyone has been out to wildwood yet this year? Just wondering how thick the ice is and how the fishing is

I was asked by a PM on an other forum about the conditions at Wildwood.
Since I moved from the area I no longer drive across the dam daily so I asked a couple co-workers who do drive across there.
Both report seeing people on the ice for a week now.
With the cold weather we have had the ice can only be getting thicker.
Problems occur there when there is a larger melt down and water levels rise.
The sides can become very unsafe.

Considering the water levels of a couple years ago, I would ask the same question as floatin rig. I'm sure there are still some pike, and some perch, but fish need water to live in, and it was pretty low for a long time. Takes fish a while to grow. A fish only grows to the size its living space can support.

Have driven past there around sunset twice this week. One person out pulling a sled both times
