Does anyone have a good summer sausage recipe, I just tried Backwoods and it is so salty I can't eat it, thanks in advance

Just go on Pinterest, there are literally thousands of recipes on there. That's the problem with pre-packaged spices, always too much salt. TC

@fishin fool I made bacon on my smoker a few months back and it was too salty too. Someone gave me a tip to soak it in water with cut up potatoes and it worked. Pulled most of the salt out.

Just like recipes for making beef jerky I always cut back the salt to half the amount in brine recipes.
