Went for a walk today no wind. Water still open by ec 10 though. Here a pic

I give it 24hrs before people start walking out.... 48hrs to see the first quad HA!

not cold enough for safe ice..

the bay needs high minus teens for at least 5 nights in row for walking ice to form..

just like everything else thats going on now

Great photo’s & thanks for the update @Jumbojim I still haven’t tried out the spud bar that you made for me a couple of year’s ago,but maybe next month on long point bay. Also,would you mind hugging your dog for me? I think that he will still remember me from my last visit at your place & thanks!!

Definitely be a bit not near safe but if these temps stay concistance -5 over nights that’s a 1” of ice every 24 hrs. Ya Oliver likes to dunk his head down the ice holes to look at the fish but he hasnt seen the hard water for 2 years. Had to perswade him to stop silly bugger.

Feels like -20 tonight that should help lock up the ice in the bay.
