well got out with 2 guys from work
left Burwell and headed to hastings pulled up on a spot I had marked and could see some boat further out
the guys said lets go there so we did I stayed outside group for bit and nothing so i moved inside there was lots of room
and it started perch on was not a wild fury bite but steady and big perch
then we got a bunch of silvers then back to perch
then I hooked a kitty

then it died off and by that time most of the boat had left the area and headed deeper
we pulled up and headed to
got out there saw Daves boat kept our space and tried with out a bite
so we headed to the first spot that I had marked and nothing

time to troll

so we pull anchor and I get her dialed to 3mph and start getting lines out we here a bunch of nose and then a big thump we look at each other and decide because boat is still moving must have been something under water and we carry on
we troll out past the perching boats and head towards burwell
dragged lines for while till 2:30 and only got silvers so pulled them in and head home

I get the hammer down and one buddy says rope in water rope in water. I slow down to stop they pull my bow rope up and I see the spring hook I use to attach my anchor and 4 feet of line . I look in the bow of boat and no anchor

guess what i figure was the load thump and noise back when we started to troll

guess better watch and make sure all ropes are in next time
and when the prop and anchor mett it bent my prop now that I can see on land

so
61 perch
12 silvers
1 released cat (we thought might be to big and muddy to eat)
lost one anchor
and now need prop

all in all good day

I donated an anchor once... felt good after.

Sorry to hear about your prop, at least it was minor. It was a very light bite.

I always carry a net for those big cats, here is a pic of @stomp with his big cat
