Yeah @HORTY that's always the government's idea of free ramp.(n) Pay for the launch ramp with our own tax money then charge $20 to park which is just another one of their tax grabs while saying "isn't it great the launch is FREE." If you figure everything in it's probably $150 per launch!!! It's a whole lot cheaper if we keep the government out of it and stick with private operators even though some of those guys can lay a stinging on us too as you know full well. However there's still the good ones like North Erie Marina.(y)

Is anything really free... anymore?,,, get ride of insurance guy, tax guy, well then just maybe, oh ya and my pet peeve Ontario hydro..

Not sure if the link still works but here is the article:

"You will have to wait only a couple more weeks for a new public boat launch in Port Stanley.

Construction was expected to be complete by the May long weekend, however Director of Physical Services Lloyd Perrin says there were some delays because of the weather. He says it should now be open for the second weekend in June.

Perrin says they have set a user fee for the boat launch which is located at the end of Carlow Road at $20 and that includes parking.

When all is said and done it will be a double launch with a driveway access and parking area immediately adjacent to the launch itself."
