Fishing Report Port Burwell

Took my grandson and 2 of his buddies out today. Late start( they didn’t want to get up at 4am) fishing by 9am in 62 fow. Slow first 1 1/2 hours then hit 65 fow and started firing. Ended up with 20 pics and 3 bows by 1. Kids put life jackets on and played in water while I had a sandwich and a water. They had a blast.

Nicely done @poconokidII a fishing trip that those boy’s will remember for a lifetime. What was the most productive way to catch those walleye’s today? Lead core,dipsey divers,downrigger,etc., and on spoons or bodybaits? Thanks in advance & enjoy your walleye fry to you all!!

I don't use leadcore I run 4 dipseys and 2 riggers...dipsey #3 setting 150 and #1 110 and riggers at 47 did all the damage. Spoons on dipseys and body baits on riggers.. any lure orange or purple was the best..Back out tomorrow.. cheers

Thanks @poconokidII for your information. I was out yesterday,August 18/22,off Port Stanley and I got skunked !! Due to my 90 4 stroke Mercury outboard motor having issues again. I will not be out on Lake Erie fishing again for at least 2 weeks,while I am waiting for a part for my outboard motor. Tight lines today for you and whoever is going with you,and the weather looks fantastic again just like yesterday for fishing. Cheers

@Toad my fuel tank float module inside my outboard motor needs replacing,because occasionally my outboard motor stalls out.

Geez that sucks totally Red. I can appreciate the pain with my trailer woes. The elmerfudds going in the water tomorrow if I have to frag it thru the gravel to launch.
