Fishing Report Perch - Port Burwell - Sunday June 28

Headed back out to the Sandhills for another go at the perch while I wait patiently for the walleye to show up.

42 feet was the ticket with once again the biggest perch I’ve ever seen. Brought home 49. Bite was fairly steady but almost completely died by 9:30 for us.

At one point counted 21 boats out there, so hopefully there will be some other reports of success.

Of the two guys I talked to at the ramp coming in from the deep end, no walleye for either.

Was one of the 21 boats you counted out there. Managed to get 17 big fish. I agree they are big this year. 43 feet of water, temp was 66 at the surface.

It was 71 degrees last weekend in 31 feet of water. Surprised it cooled that much as I was also reading 65-66 degrees today. Wanted to jump in for a swim but put that on hold. Glad you found some fish too!

Nice job. I was late for the party and missed out. 3 stops silver barn ( now has a brown roof), sand hills and hastings. Fished 37 fow and 43 with poor results to show. But the Momma got to work on her tan and the dogs had fun.

How big is "big" for you guys? Just trying to gauge against Nipissing perch which have also been ginormous.
