Missed the opener this year as me and a buddy where on Lake Esnagi in Algoma Country!
Had a great week at Mar Mac Lodge catching Walleye, Pike, Whitefish, Lakers, and Brookies!! It was worth the wait to get the bass gear out!

Lots of jigs, look for point, and book a guide early in trip, they really taught us the lake and how to control your boat. Leave it running, won’t spook the fish, and just easier to put in and out of gear vs restarting all the time. Weeds should be up so locating pike should be a bit easier. We had to hunt for secondary ambush areas.
