While getting groceries today, I decided to have a peek just to see.

THIS is why I go catch it as opposed to buying it. It's cheaper and a hell of a lot more fun to do it the "hard" way (and the ones I catch are BIGGER than what they're selling right now)

I don't own a boat (haven't won the lottery yet) so I do most of my fishing from the pier in Pt Bruce, especially this early in the season, and I catch my own bait, so it only costs me the gas in the car to get there and back. (and my time I suppose)

The only time it costs me more than that is on those occasions when I get out with Tom (or someone else who may have invited me to go in their boat.) and even that is still cheaper and more fun than paying those prices to get the same amount I might come home with on any given day, and given how small what they had on their shelves was, I'd rather go catch it anyways because as I said, what I catch is bigger than what they're selling right now.
