Did some searching online and found a Financial Post article where a Loblaws spokesperson stated that there will still be sales to be had but otherwise no increase to No Name products.
My wife heard about that too. My gut says their suppliers’ pricing is locked into contracts and for the most part this comes on the backs of someone else, and doesn’t cost Loblaws much at all.
At work we supply a few things to Loblaws/Shoppers (not no name brand, though) and they expect to make a lot of money and have a lot of support from suppliers- the toughest ones we deal with across North America. We do much better supplying anyone else.
