Took the boat out on Saturday for its opening run, on the way I remembered that I did not have a net on the boat.... oh well I thought, its only perch. Set up in about 40 feet dropped a line down and immediately had two perch. Out a couple more minnows on, dropped line and boom, fish on... and I don't mean a perch! I was only using a very light set up and did not set the drag............ rod tip down in the water and everything stripped. I shrugged and thought.... don't forget the net next time and set your drag dummy.
Back on Sunday, same area, same results, this time with net and this time with drag set. Caught about 35 perch ( I was alone) and a bonus walleye. Pretty sure that Saturdays fish was also a walleye.

Nice catch I'm glad to see you caught a walleye heard some guys did on the radio on Sunday. Nice to see the proof though.
