With potential rain in the forecast, we took a cautious early morning trip to the tip. Weather was good until 10:30, when we had to pull the pin and head for home.
Started in 40' and trolled out to 100' and back into 47'. Riggers at 35' and 25', 4 lead cores 2-7 color and dispey's (3 setting out 75'-110')
We went 2 for 6 on walleye, losing a few right at the net. And a lone silver bass. No Lakers for a change, although there were many big marks on the graph, on bottom, deep in 90+'. I didn't throw a rigger deep as we were after walleye.
Lots of bait in and around 45-47' just north of the tip. This is where we got into them before having to head out. Berkley flicker minnows and Nk's in silver/blue seemed to be the preference. All fish were up high. Dispsey's and low color lead were the lines hitting.
No fish pics, as we had to head out quick when the sky really turned black. Got a little wet, but beat the lighting back to the dock.
It's only going to get better from here.
