The bay is open with thin fringe ice. Mallards along B Zone

Hello Donc,

I went out yesterday ... no ice ... anywhere!

There are still plenty of birds around but do not hunt Zone B ... it is closed.

I had only one duck come by yesterday but I missed (an overhead shot) ... rats!

Oh well ... next year.

It seemed the birds have been sitting around the area for long time, learned the difference between the decoys and the real ones, and learned the lay of the marsh, avoiding all the points of the possible dangers. Oh, well the hunting is approaching to an end, and I hope you get some before that. Good luck and good shooting too.
