Guelph area? Suggestions please

Last minute run to Guelph to take the grandkids fishing, 4 and 5 years old. They are very excited to go, but I don't really know where to take them. Bobbers off shore is what we will do, any ideas would be very much appreciated!
 
Find a slower spot on the Speed River between Guelph and Cambridge. Lots of pan fish in there. For sure rock bass. Access is tricky but there are spots. There is a spot off Niska Rd — haven’t tried but I would as there is trial access. Also Guelph Lake has a conservation area… hear it is fun with kids from shore.
 
Second on the Guelph Lake. All kinds of fish in there. Pike, bass, crappie, and lots of pan fish.
