What a switch for me from walleye fishing one day,to trying to catch as many gobies as I/we can in 3 hour’s!! Myself,my daughter, and her friend decided to fish the,”Free” family fishing event,(goby derby),again, such as we did the last few year’s. A “thumb up,” for my first very small goby caught yesterday morning. lol :ROFLMAO: Our team of three ended up catching a total of 39 gobies in the three hours that we fished. This goby derby is more setup for younger families,(but anyone may fish it),trying to get their kid’s into fishing, and what a great turnout it was!! There were 100 families registered for this event.Approximately,500 gobies were caught during the 3 hours, and the weather was fantastic for this event. There were great prizes handed out to the young winning contestants, plus a free hot dog, pop, and chips for all that participated. The Bluewater Anglers Club that hosted this Family Fishing Event were a great host again, such as in the many previous years!! Before we left to go back home from Sarnia/Point Edward,we decided to take a stroll along the St.Clair river, which made us hungry again afterwards,so therefore we stopped and had a light supper at our favourite chip wagon, which is usually parked just south of the Bluewater Bridge.Another great day to be outdoors, and it will be back again to walleye fishing for me again soon, somewhere on lake erie, once the lake conditions become favourable again for boating.?????

I now believe @Trevor M after catching and releasing this 33 inch pike,(June 21/19),that there are huge muskies in the long point bay area.Anglers occasionally have caught muskies over the year’s there in the area. The other side of that pike was marked like that as well!! I need to upgrade my fishing tackle the next time that I fish the reeds for pike, just in case a musky comes,”a knocking!!” lol :ROFLMAO: ??? Bring on the musky!!???
