Fished Burwell today and looks like what I thought was a rainbow might be Coho?

Ok, some at the cleaning station said it was a Coho with the black lower gums.Seemed much darker than the fella beside him .

Tail covered in spots makes it either a rainbow or a chinook. The anal fun makes it a rainbow.

Coho 100%

Black on the mouth, forked tail 100% salmon. You can’t go by just having spots across the tail and say it’s a bow coho are variable in that characteristic.

Taking another, closer look this morning I would agree, it does appear to be a Coho.

The lateral line alone screams coho
We had a lot of coho last few trips
Some were very different looking and difficult to distinguish between the insane amount of steelhead
