Gonna try Goose hunting this year. How smart are these birds? I want to build a blind on the edge of a corn field 10ft from a pond. Its flat, no sand dunes. Will the birds notice a 4ft x 4ft x 4ft high blind made of the corn stalks and tumble weeds found in the same location? Or should I build something different? Thanks for your advice in advance.

Don't give the birds the chance to see you.. If this is going to be a place you hunt for a while, dig a pit, box it in so it doesn't cave in, and they'll never see you until it's too late... Throw in a couple chairs, bbq, and you are off to the races.
