Fishing Report Burwell catfish

Well the cats were biting tonight, real windy out on the pier but hunkered beside the lighthouse. Got 5 big ones in less than 4 hours, lots of fun they were some of the biggest I've caught.

Nice fish...Big Otter TP opens May 12th fish are usually in the creek by then. I have a new bait to try out....cant wait.

What bait do you guys use? Just moved to burwell area and never fished channel cats before.

Big smelly shrimps have worked well for me.

Yeah they were all caught in the creek, just beside the lighthouse on the first pier at the river mouth. I used cut bait, always gets the big ones usually

I've also had good luck with raw shrimp.
