Had three sits so far this season
Harvested a deer Monday evening.
had three come out of the corn about 50yards away walking directly towards me
One was big doe
Other two were fawns or a small doe and fawn they came right towards my stand
When they were about 20 yards away I think they smelled me started acting weird and the two larger ones trotted into the corn while the fawn stood there. So I let him have it.
I’m grateful for every harvest, and he will bring some delicious meals to my table.
still hoping for my fiancé to get her first deer this season lots of hunting left ahead of us!

was it much of a job hauling it out, or did you just put it in your pocket?
no squirrels around?
getting it mounted? save the horns as rattler's.
why would you shoot something so small this early in the season?

Yah honestly
I would prefer a larger deer. But between my fiancé and I we have 4 tags. Fawns are delicious but don’t get near the amount of meat.
Had he walked up alone I probably wouldn’t have shot, but I was all amped up for the big doe that never gave me a shot.
so away the arrow went. My second tag won’t be spent on a fawn, big doe but I’m hoping for a nice buck in November
