These are the 2 rainbows we caught today. They look different to me and when I cleaned the one fish the meat is a little whiter than I'm used to when cleaning rainbow! Whats up with that? Anyone know? Fish #1 Fish #2
Curious what other 'strain' would account for the lengthy jaw? I am not aware of any partial or non rainbow 'strains' of trout that would be found in lake Erie.
Here's the same fish fresh out of the water. @Mickey Finn mentioned that its flesh was different than the others, hence the discussion
I would rule out Coho as the spots are distributed evenly across the tail. Although it didn't but up much of a fight, maybe it's a "Tali'bow"?
