Found these under my silver maple today. They seemed to have sprung up in the last 2 or 3 days. Can anyone identify these? Thanks Ben

Hey @GPS there a bit pinkish but very light colour underneath. I looked them up but can't be certain what they are....

Just read the article you posted and I'm going to agree with you horse mushrooms 🍄! No yellow staining on the base. It also states that when they first open their pink underneath.

There are usually a number of criteria to look at for positive ID. You certainly want to be very careful before consumption.

Left them in a paper bag overnight. This is what it looks like today.

I feel very confident that they are horse mushrooms.

Horse mushrooms they do appear to be. The unopened ones will have a cogwheel pattern on the veil. They will have an anise seed smell and the gills on the young’s ones are pinkish. IF the stem (stipe) bruises yellow when cut DO NOT EAT. Horse mushrooms will not bruise. I had a nice feed yesterday. Been picking a lot of shrimp of the woods and honey mushrooms they are out full force flush too.

Hey @anonymoose ... @anonymiss looks like she's holding a beer... cum on man!
@stomp I've overestimated you, once again. I thought you'd recognize a vintage Certo brand pectin bottle when you see one. Turns out its worth a lucky $13 Canuckistan Kopecks!

anonymoose acres is not just home to large mushrooms. We stock vintage garbage as well.

The cameraman is the one usually holding the wobbly pop!
