This is our first year making maple syrup. It's been a lot of fun and also a ton of work. We made enough to share some with family and friends, 5.8 litres.
So far we have made candied nuts. So good! I can't wait for a pancake dinner or breakfast. Going to try some in bbq sauce. Let me know if you have any must try maple syrup recipes.
Looks like the season may be over, not sure how I feel about that. This has been one wacky winter/spring.
I think it's pretty cool how the syrup has changed colour as the season has gone on. Started so light, ended so dark.
