If he walks by he is getting the arrow
Maybe on my own large property I’d wait for him to mature one more year.
But 7 people hunt this 100 acres and the two neighbours on either side of this farm also hunt.. so I don’t wait on deer like that
But I know what your saying next year he’ll be a monster. I think he’s 4.5 years old now

Nice deer. Since we put up the cameras we have been seeing one big buck and a couple different spikes this year along with a bunch of does fairly regularly. This past week nothing. Getting pictures of birds so cameras are working but no deer.

Possibly the activity of putting up cameras and checking cards is keeping them away?

I notice that usually lots of action
Once we get a couple guys making regular trips out to there stands and what not the deer go away

They call it scouting
I say just text me and ask me what I’m seeing on the trail cams
No sense driving your truck around the field at sunset that just spooks them off

come oct 1st they disappear and than dont see them again until november

Spypoint cams. Pictures sent right to his phone so no need to check cards. Funny thing - he had a bunch of activity Friday afternoon.
