    We used elastics a couple times last year, size #19 attached to the shower curtain of the planer boards. Worked well running leadcore with spoons or body baits, the bands snapped everytime we landed a fish. Didn't work so great running deep diving spoons, would snap on the outside every time...

    My apologies, that was supposed to say 13*. Never seen a 16 inch perch. I've got some pictures of them but I'm guessing you just didn't believe the 16 inch story!

    We did pretty well (~120) in 40-42 feet of water in front of the water tower west of Burwell on Sunday. The only reason we stopped is because we ran out of minnows. Caught a couple almost 13 inches long too.
