    Catfish action?

I have not been out for two weeks. It was really slow before, only two good ones 10-12 lbs each. Has anyone had any luck lately with the whiskered fish? I mainly fish at Port Bruce, but am open to suggestions if some other spot may be more productive. Good fishing.

    Port Bruce catfish derby results?

So, did any catfish get caught this weekend? I,ve been out three times last week, and it was slow. Only two the week before.

    Early cat action

I made two early trips to the Port Bruce pier too see if the whiskered fish had started biting. The weather was OK both days, but cold weather the day and night before did not help. No bites. Others out yesterday, catching white perch and the odd sheephead. Probably a bit early, I will try again...

    Bayfield Rainbows

Might try the Bluewater bridge at Sarnia, maybe I will get lucky with a rainbow, salmon, or even walleye. Probably try plunking bait with spin-n-glows. Open too suggestions from those familiar with that area.

    Bayfield Rainbows

Is it too early for fishing for rainbows off the Bayfield pier? Has anyone had any luck of any Lake Huron piers?

    Late season cats?

Looking for suggestions for end of season channel cats. I know spring is good for them and have done well then. I am thinking fall may be an overlooked time to give them a season ending try.

    St. Clair river

Lots of boats north of the bridge jigging for walleyes, they moved farther out past the red buoy after dark. Do not know how they were doing. I was on shore with several others. Only 2 fish caught, none by me. It was slow and most left. This was Sarnia north of the Bluewater bridge.

    St. Clair river

Warm Fall might have walleyes still in a summer pattern, way out in the big lake and not in the river yet. Trying jigging again tonight, nothing from shore yet but hoping for at least a few.

    St. Clair river

Trying again this weekend, jigging from shore. Has anyone done well lately in the river on shore or in a boat?

    St. Clair river

Four hour round trip to Windsor to fish the Detroit river is too long and expensive for my liking anymore, although I have in the past when gas was not so expensive. Sarnia is only two hours round trip, and the St. Clair river has lots of walleyes as well. I am bottom bouncing jigs with worms...

    St. Clair river

Went back to Sarnia yesterday evening. Saw only a couple trailers in the marina parking lot. One boat north of the bridge fishing, a couple more went out and a couple heading in later. Tried jigging at the coast guard dock, nothing there and no one else fishing. Fished until after dark, usually...

    St. Clair river

I will keep trying, just letting everybody know things are slow for now. I guess the lakes are warmer now than in the past and fish are still in their summer patterns out in the big lake and have not started running in the rivers yet.

    St. Clair river

I was there late afternoon until getting dark. Usually guys and gals start showing up along the shore by then, and boats are out by the red buoy or on the way there. Few trailers in the marina lot, none looked like fishing boat trailers. I would have stayed later but did not think there would be...

    St. Clair river

Went to Sarnia Sunday, to try jigging for walleyes from shore. Very windy from the west but warm. A few pleasure boaters and jet skies out, but no fishing boats on the river or north of the bridge. There was a chop on the water but manageable in anything but a small tinny. Only a couple fishing...
