Wet or Dry?

What batter do you prefer? I like it all as long as its not greasy... If I had to pick one I'd go with eggwash and breadcrumbs...
Egg wash and bread crumbs or just wet fillet and bread crumbs
In my miles and miles of back road traveling yesterday I do remember seeing only a couple of places with it.

Sister in law went out to somewhere around Norwich and theirs would be at least another week away. 🌻
I'm tinkering around with batter recipe's right now to see if I can find one I prefer over others. (beer or no beer doesn't matter to me. Next time I batter some fish I'm going to try using a Crepe batter) but then again, I'm ALWAYS tinkering around with recipes to see if I can find something I like more than others.

When I'm breading anything, it's the standard flour (seasoned a little) egg wash, bread crumbs and although I don't mind using boring old bread crumbs that I can then season myself as I see fit, I'm much more likely to use PANKO instead (or mixed in, again seasoned as I see fit, NOT bought seasoned already) because as far as I'm concerned, it DOES give a much better crunch to the finished product than just bread crumbs alone. (Especially when you consider that IF your oil isn't hot enough, the bread crumbs aren't going to do anything but soak up the oil anyways and that's :yuck::vomit:🤮)
