I recall seeing some on here long ago but I can???t find that thread anymore.

The other day I stepped on the latch of my 30 yr. old Flambeau spoon box. It had many repairs already, but I think it's reached the end. I really liked it because it could hold about 80 spoons, tons of other tackle and gear such as flashers, lymans, etc. etc. etc. I think I will have to...

I picked one up at FishUSA when I was over in Erie PA a couple of weeks ago.....I see now that shipping is kind of crazy. I think the manufacturer is in Buffalo, maybe worth a trip to pick some up or maybe FishUSA would cut a deal to ship multiples?
 
Of course the US has lots of better options
Yah I need to do a sporting goods shopping trip soon.. usually going for Peter Pan peanut butter and little Debbie Swiss rolls
Better make a trip for something useful next

I had 4 boxes shipped for me and another guy several years ago during covid. The maker was suggesting to meet at Fort Erie to pick the boxes but the border was closed. Nice guy, spoke with him over the phone a couple times then. The boxes are nice but not deep enough for deep divers. I can put one box and one special mate in my bow storage

I see he has a deeper one listed now for deep diving cranks... I don't think he did originally but it looks good. I have no issue with Special Mate boxes other than they are way too big and get in the way on smaller boats, and I don't feel the need to take 200 (or 300) baits out fishing.

Nice, but with the shipping - too expensive. I wish I knew it earlier- my son was in Buffalo last weekend, but I dont think he s coming back there any time soon.
 
I was just lurking around the website and FedEx ground becomes much more affordable if you order multiples....US$41 for one but $53 for two, $73 for four, and $95 for six but it would still likely be best to pick them in Buffalo or do a group purchase....

Ill try to see if we got hit by import duty back then or not, We used USPS and the guy had issued with the box size for 4 of his boxes not fitting in.
here is what he wrote back then, this is for standard boxes:
"I have a way to significantly reduce the postage by shipping 6 boxes at a time in a single postage box. USPS price is $114 which is $19 per SpoonCrank Box."
 
It???s a 4 hour drive to fishUSA
I???ll be making the trip at some point in the near future
