So what are the estimated lake levels going to be this year?

Water levels are in fact controlled on Erie. Not so much on the discharge end but on the inflows from Lake Superior. Many changes over the years have changed the natural water flow rate from the north, which has raised all the great Lakes and rivers downstream.
Which is a GOOD thing for people like myself and Stomp to get into the boat. I would much rather just step off the dock into the boat/ than rather jump down into it! Vise-Versa when docking and getting out of the boat- just a little step up will do it. Don't fall Stomp. Wouldn't want you to see your straw- hat drift away!

My Burwell dock has been a floater the last few years, so in and out of the boat hasn't been an issue.

Getting in and out of Burwell might be if the water level drops too much.

Been a number of boaters already get a rude awakening out by the channel markers with 2022's level. 🤪 🌻
I had my blades cleaned at Burrell last summer….

That’s actually not right. Here is the map that is impacted by Plan 2014

I am on the mailing list for the International Joint Commission but don't always get around to reading all their stuff right away. Anyway, I came across this one that discusses the Expedited Review of Plan 2014 which they are hoping will result in plan changes to eliminate some of the previously experienced high and low conditions seen on Lake Ontario in 2017 & 2019. Plan 2014 does not affect Lake Erie nor are there any level control agreements or any significant outflow controls on Lake Erie (other than Welland Canal and Buffalo Ship Canal which have minimal effect). As mentioned earlier there is some control of inflows to system from Lake Superior but they too have limited effect here.

There are lots of other interesting links on their site as well:
