Pike - Bluff Bar - Friday, October 7th

[Duck Soup]

My son-in-law and I took a couple of his boys and my grandchildren up to the Bar to troll for pike this morning. They caught 6 from 2 to 8 pounds in 3 hours. The boys are 8 and 9 and caught the biggest fish of their young lives. The weather was awesome.

I must say Mr.Duck, your reports are the absolute best out there!!!When I see your name come up I know there was some kind of action happening on lake erie.The best is when you get the shots of the children holding up fish that are half the size of the kids themselves.Do the grandchildren know how "great"of a grandfather you really are?Also how great of a fishing reporter you are.Thank you again for another fine report and happy "Thankgiving".

Looks you had a great day there Duck. I was out Saturday and took one of my boating buddies that has a 34' offshore and wont fish on it. We picked up 6. The largest being 10.5 lbs. Went back out on Sunday and picked another 7, both days all fish were in the 5-8 lb range. For October weather, fishing at the Bluffs was indeed the best.

OK, kinda missed having a boat to get out to Bluff Bar this Thanksgiving weekend. Weather was awesome. Thanks for the reports; brings back good memories.
