No Fishing Today, but a great Meeting

I just got home around 11 p.m. tonight after spending a fantastic day this afternoon/evening in Pt.Edward.My original plan was to tow my boat down to the St.Clair river area to fish near Pt.Edward/Lake Huron for walleye’s,etc.,but the North/West winds that were forecasted for today there were going to be too strong for boating,so therefore I left my boat at home.I ended up spending the afternoon scouting the St.Clair river in that area, and talking to some anglers while I was there before I attended the Bluewater Anglers Club General Meeting at 7 p.m.Before the club meeting,I had a craving for some smoked fish from Purdy’s Fish market store, which is usually one of my stops while I am in Pt.Edward.I saved the smoked Atlantic Salmon that I bought there for later, and I had a great supper instead at one of my favourite Chip wagons that is usually parked near the Bluewater Bridge.I had a great supper,(pulled pork and poutine with cheese curds—yummy!!).:po_O and also a fantastic view while I was eating my supper,of the Bluewater Bridge, and watching a freighter passing by and going up river. After supper,I then attended the Bluewater Anglers Club General Meeting at 7 p.m.,and myself and some other members of the club had some tables set up for the tackle swap while we were there.I ended up selling some of my salmon, trout and walleye lure’s,plus some various chart’s,that I have had for sometime now.The tackle swap sale was a success for me,but I still need to sell more chart’s,(Owen Sound Bay,French River, etc.),and more lure’s later, such as Musky lure’s,a musky/salmon net,(photo).I bought my Bluewater Anglers Club Salmon Derby,(which will start in May/19),ticket as well,at this meeting. All and all,as always,I had a fantastic day in Pt.Edward, and my next trip down in that area will be with my boat,(winds permitting),somewhere on the St.Clair river near the Casino, basically wherever the fish will be biting in that area on the St.clair river and even on Lake Huron, upriver from the Bluewater Bridge. It was a great turnout at the general meeting, and also meeting up with some old and new members while I was there.I definitely will be back again like many times before & tight lines to all!! ?????

Thanks for the great photos Erich and enjoy that smoked Atlantic salmon which is my favorite too. The fishing should be starting up soon so hopefully we get some good weather this season. Not like last year with big wind almost constantly keeping us onshore. ????

For some reason that Fenwick hoodie looks better than a Habs. LOL! ?

LOL :ROFLMAO: @Wave Runner ? My HABS hoodies are all stored away till next NHL season, and it is serious business for me now, with more fishing coming up fast!! The Fenwick Hoodie did feel very nice though to wear last night.? But,I will only wear my HABS hat occasionally,to remind me that the HABS need another Stanley cup,(since their last cup won in 1993),again soon!! I also bought my $25.00, 2019 Bluewater Anglers Club Salmon Derby ticket last night at the Bluewater Anglers Club General Meeting as previously mentioned in my last post, and hopefully Lake Huron will be friendlier this year than last year for boating & Salmon ON soon!! ???o_O?:)

@red Hering… At least that Habs cap is a lot newer than your wife's 1967 Maple Leaf Champions cap. :p

@red Hering… You would have to post a photo of those wonderful, delectable, gorgeous looking smoked salmon fillets. You did that on purpose just to make my mouth water.... you rascal!!! (n):giggle:

Love this thread! All the positivity and a great day shared. PS - I had no idea that poutine shop was there. That will be my stop next time I go eye fishing!

@Rex a friend of mine that lives in Sarnia told me about this Chip wagon a couple of years ago, while I was fishing for Coho’s & Rainbows on the St.Clair river in Pt.Edward.Now it is the only chip wagon that I go to now,out of the three that are usually parked near the Bluewater Bridge. It’s my favourite meal with pulled pork and poutine with cheese curds. You will definitely enjoy it,if you ever get a chance to try it.Also, great people with great service and very reasonable prices for their food. :p and fantastic scenery!! Tight lines & eyes ON!! ????:)
