few years back I stayed at the majestic, first year it opened, it was a nice layout, good food, nice property. My buddy stayed nearby at another place, he liked it. All the properties on that stretch of beach looked awesome.
The beach there was beautiful

I also stayed at the Colonial Majestic. It was great. Most of the places along the beach were nice. The less expensive ones are more crowded, so if you don't mind line ups they're good. The beach is awesome, one of the top beaches I've been to. We took the ATV's for a trip for $75 for the day..it was well worth it. Everybody's selling something for somebody so shop wisely if you're doing any tours. Have Fun!

i'm staying here, with all that violence and crap down there, one day though, but for now i'll freeze my ass off ice fishing instead.

fishing, for some a hobby, for most an addiction

Punta Cana is in the Dominican Republic , not mexico

We stayed at the Grand Palladium. Its part of a 3 resort complex. there were 4 or 5 pools, swim up bars. Several restaurants. A little train to move around the complex, however everything was a short walk. Go all inclusive...the beach is fantastic, charter fishing, shopping with in walking distance, beach sports, the scenery was most interesting.........it was very safe, but you can find trouble if want to..

I'm going in Feb staying at the Hard Rock aka MoonPalace.Never been before willlet you know how it was. later terry

Has anyone fished down there ? Is it worth bringing a small rod and fishing from a paddle boat or a small sail boat on the reef ?
How about Charters ? Is it worthwhile or more of a boat ride like Cuba.

hey shipwrecked wife and kids and I are going to same place in april and would love to hear how it is also my wife is looking for a wine list dont ask me wy just wants one could u let me know how the resort is and the wine thanks in advance think i met you at park duck hunting

The Gran Bahia Principe Punta Cana was amazing. Great food friendly staff and great villas. I stayed in the gold area 5 minutes from the beach lots of buffets, bars, and al carte meals. There were vendors on the beach that will take you out to the wreck of a freighter to fish pretty reasonable (Under $100 us) for a few hours or deep sea fishing ( $500 half day 2 guys). We snorkeled and sailed Hobie Cats around the wreck. Lots to do and the white sand beach is amazing. It doesn’t matter how hot the day the sand is always cool. Oh and the bikini’s were not hard to find either:)…..Enjoy your trip!
