Sorry to hear about your troubles on the water, it takes a smart man to head back to port when these situations arise, on a funnier note do you think you would of had engine troubles if you wore your Pickerel hat not the one in the pictures,,,lol.. well we leave a week from now on our flyin trip,, can't wait....stay safe my friend and chase those pics and bows,, cheers

Thanks for your comment @poconokidII about me making the decision to come back in to Port Stanley, & I am glad that my boat is equipped with a smartcraft gauge system, which alerted me early enough,about having ignition coil problems,for I then decided to head back into Port Stanley. Also,lol @poconokidII because I don’t have a pickerel hat,but only this walleye hat. lol and perhaps maybe I should of have worn it yesterday instead of one of my many “HABS” hat’s that I have. I am guessing that this commercial fishing boat that was coming into Port Stanley yesterday,and flying a Montreal Canadiens flag on the left side of his boat, likely did quite well catching walleye’s,(),& perhaps everyday. lol The captain of the boat and myself gave each other a “thumbs up “ while he was passing by,because of both of us being Canadiens fans!! Enjoy your flyin fishing trip a week from now,and the walleye & rainbow fishing should be even better than it is now,when you come back. Be safe & catch lots!! cheers…

Those Smartcraft gauges are awesome!!! I just have the basic Dumb Operator gauges and alarms that when it goes off (high pitched screaming) you have to decide....
--am I on fire and should I jump overboard
--am I sinking and should I jump overboard
--am I out of oil/no cooling/no power to engine which will blow up and should I jump overboard

I should get a smart gauge..

Definitely @Wave Runner it will be a lot better fishing as we know through the summer,but I can’t wait that long & I should be getting my boat back by early next week,because the ignition coil is coming next Monday,June 21/21. I will be heading right back out there again where I had left off,and find the walleye’s & rainbow’s such like in the past year’s.I am “pumped “ & confident that I will be doing quite well once I am back “In the Zone!!” Maybe I will see you out there & tight lines my friend & walleye’s & rainbow’s ON!!

I thought so @EthanC That Montreal Canadiens flag would no doubt help for great catches of walleye’s from out of that boat, and I am wondering now if that was your brother that was giving me the “thumbs up” back to me from the Helm,as he was coming back into Port Stanley yesterday around noon hour. It’s a 2007 @dj92 my 90
4-stroke Mercury has actually been running fantastic being 14 years old now,so it is expected that some part’s will wear out eventually,just like in car’s,etc. Also,doing regular maintenance helps the outboard motor last. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another Mercury outboard motor if I ever needed to replace the one I have now.

Mercury vessel view mobile can be moved from motor to motor and will monitor up to 4 motors at once. Was under $300, and took 5 minutes to install as it's plug and play. I run it on my Merc 150 as it gives me some peace of mind. You can see and reset codes too.

Yes l know mine is a 2005 90hp merc. Might give Proctors a call for a price to be certain in price
