Albert and I joined Canvasback (John Piggott) for a catch and release (lures only) fishing day in the Inner Bay. It was tough but we did OK. We landed 5 nice pike, lost 4, landed 2 or 3 LM Bass and also caught several Perch and Rock Bass. I estimated the biggest pike landed was 6.5 pounds but Albert and John thought it was bigger. The Bass were modest in size but one we lost was very respectable. Best lure was a white 1/2 ounce spinner bait. A 1-ounce silver/blue Syclops spoon was a close second. Most lures we tried produced strikes and follow ups but the ones mentioned
