Manitoulin hunt

Been sitting in my shack we built on our hunt property on the island last year. 3 days and only seen does, fawns and a small 6 pointer. We have full freezers so we are holding out for a wall hanger. Look what has been back in my bush again back home about 200 yards from my house…

It sure is way different from my stand hunting back home. It’s like having a hunting ‘vacation’ home. Heater, jet boil for food and a swiveling office chair! My northern buddies did this up right.

I hear you, I’m not done building mine at our place up North but I am picking away at it. Roof is framed since this pic was taken and ready to go on and the box is in place. I’m building it out of scrap renovation lumber. Will fill out the top half to complete the blind when time permits and also install some plexiglass sliders! Your shack looks good!! And yes, I’m going to paint mine eventually!

Passing smaller deer does pay off. My buddy Steve one shack over 5 min ago. He let 5/6 smaller bucks/does pass so far this week. Atta boy Steve!
