Off Topic Lucky guy, close call

Kudos to the DNR officer and I'm glad he didn't become another statistic. I'm sorry to sound harsh but to be out in rough freezing water at this time of year in a kayak without even a life jacket on this guy is just plain stupid lucky to be alive. :rolleyes::banghead:
 
The dude apparently had a pair of striker ice bibs on but failed to wear his life jacket (he’s a member of a site I frequent). He’s a young guy too. Just got another chance at life. Hopefully he won’t be so foolish in the future! The whole kayak thing is getting a bit silly. Some thing just shouldn’t be done, like Erie in March from a kayak!
