Thanks for your report @jeweller and I like your way of thinking about hopefully having useable ice in the next week or so.On my way to work this morning I noticed The Bay had a film of ice on it. Hopefully with the colder temperatures we’ll get some usable ice in the next week or so. ?
I will be doing some sorting of my ice fishing tackle today, and the ice fishing tackle will be on “standby” for that “first ice” for fishing,of the ice fishing season.Be safe everyone when the ice fishing season hopefully does come on the inner bay & Tight Lines!!The temps are going to be up and down a little bit over the next week but let's hope night time temps do their job. The good news is very little snow forecasted.
For sure @Fish Farmer, and hooking and fighting a walleye would be “Fantastic!!” on long point bay!! Also, according to the long range forecast,we should be on the inner bay perhaps in a week or two, just saying, but safe ice conditions first everyone!!Come on Long Point Bay, hurry up, hoping some of those walleyes got crowded into the Bay
Better get my Bauer supremes sharpened up by the looks of the no snow. looks like we might get a wee dump of snow this weekendSt Williams today 4pm. Getting close......…….
hey zzguffy where did you go out of on cooks bay and how deep were you thx pocono
