July 7 Humber towards the Islands.
After hearing someone got a ticket for parking before 9 am yesterday we took a chance today and arrived at 445. Ran to the red can and dropped lines in 85 fow. Didn???t take 5 minutes until we were in a nice king off the riggers down 72 ft with bread winner moonshine. We keep to the drop and picked up a few more before we had a triple header. 2 riggers and the dispy diver took off. 50 yards or more there was a big boat yelling at us to get out of his way because he was worry that we would cut his long lines. He must of been using the 2500 ft of weighted steel I have not heard about. What did he expect us to do with 3 Kings screaming out line. Maybe I should have taken out the scissors and cut the three lines to please him? We lost the wire fish but landed the other two. Every time I would steer clear of on coming boats. Always mindful of boys with planner board. I don???t want to tangle my line with anyone else but the effort I put in More boats would continue to yelled at us. That when we decided to fish 200-280 fow water all day down 72-99 ft. Finished at 12:30 with 13 big kings 13-21.5 lbs and had the lake to ourselves. Everyone was inside the drop. It???s a big lake and if we all try to avoid each other and stop yelling and swearing at one another we would all have a better day.

Nice going One last cast!. I ve heard it was really good this morning both E and W of Toronto. We had the same scenario last Sun at Bluferrs, reeling in 2 fish and guys coming at us from the port side and demanding we change coarse cause they have dipsies out. My friend ended up taking his phone out scaring them that we ll report them. They turnded but started displaying their fingers😉. Same story happened to him today when he had a double header fishing with his wife and again peple coming from a port side demanding rite of a way😉.

I also like to head deep when fishing lfp btw😉

LOL. The cooler is only to place the fish in to unhook and release. The smaller ones goes in the livewell. Keeps the fish slime off the deck when you net and place right I to the cooler to be unhooked.

Keep the slime off your boat??? I was wondering how I am going to do that next time I???m out there haha

That???s why I picked up 50 right of way stickers for @Red Fisher too hand out. Too try and avoid that nastiness. Must be a Lake Ontario thing as the only time I have been yelled at/flipped the bird is there. Not good ole Erie!
I was out today went 3 for 7. The deep water sucked for us. But the crazy part was when I returned with my truck and trailer to load the boat my friends told me that the 5th guy in our line up had the nerve to yell at them and say they can???t be tying the boat up to the cleats with the ropes and that his trailer is ready to load his boat. And he thought he could move ahead of all the boats behind me. Everyone ahead of him told to shut the F up and that he has to wait till all boats ahead of him are out first. And of course when I came with the trailer there was a truck in my way so I drove around and had to make a sharp turn to get the trailer in the water. I found out after loading the boat that the truck in the way was the friend of the idiot who thought it would give him the right to
skip to the front of the line.

These guys for sure had owned a seadoo before😉

Cops need to be visiting the boat ramps to help some people with their behavior. Otherwise guys will be getting into it with baseball bats and someone is going to die. That jerk that was 5 in line is lucky that he just got "shut the f up". Sooner or later I think we will start to hear about jerks like that being put in their place more "convincingly".
It seems that after the covid lock up the amount of idiots on the road, on the streets and in society as a hole has increased exponentially. I see after reading the comments above that these same idiots now occupy boat ramp line ups and are out on the lake.
Common courtesy seems to have been lost after the lock up. It will be nice to see it return again some day soon.
The lack of policing the idiots at the docks and out on the water is discouraging. The lack of police response to all kinds of issues on land is also discouraging.

Not to mention the large amount of newbies who decided to buy a boat or jet ski when they can???t even afford rent are now occupying the boats ramps not know how to even back in the trailer.
I had a group of people who clearly are new to boating jump the line on me. I just finished getting my boat ready hopped in the truck to pull up to the ramp. as I got in the truck these people rushed up parked in front of the ramp and proceeded to take their straps off and get their boat ready. So I kindly walked up to inform them they are suppsoe to get their boat ready over there not in front of the ramp.
The group of them surrounded me and argued me so I walked away. Sat for 20min while they got their boat ready than struggled to get the boat in the water. After which the 10-15 of them all piled in their boat. Oh and once I got my boat in the water they motored by the ramp while under decent power sending their wake to dock..
wouldn???t mind seeing them again ????????

I think a lot of our problems today is the up bringing of the younger people out there to day. I???m saying the 25 - 40 group, sorry to say it they are all in a hurry and you are in my way. I???m number ONE get out of my way. Yes I???ve now seen this so many times, but as my age tells me, my old to some children are polite and say thx to the person holding the door for them.

The last time I was loading my boat on the trailer at Port Stanley I had a guy on a jet ski waiting for his buddy to go get their truck and trailer. While he was waiting on the jet ski he decided he's show off by doing all kinds of crazy donuts that was creating a lot of wake (in a no wake zone) right by the ramps. Walkers on the pier were asking him why he was being such an idiot and he just looked at the people with a blank look on his face.
I then had had enough of the noise and the wake so I told him it was a no wake zone and to stop. His reaction..."what is wake"? I made it simple for him and said "waves".
He then said I don't own the lake. I told him he's right but I do own a cell phone "see it in my hand" and I'll call 911 and call the cops in and they can explain what "no wake" means as they give you a fine.
He kept being his natural idiot self and I just loaded up and left.
I now am convinced that the Police are now like the MNRF (or whatever they are called now)...."AN ENDANGERED SPECIES"!

When I fish lfp on weekends I leave the lake around 10 just to avoid inconsiderate tards...never had an issue and now they have some kid there trying to keep peace ...never had a problem at burwell even when it's busy..eveyone just waits their turn..

I might try lfp from 3pm- after dark sometime next week. The one ramp that???s not allowed sea doos is usually good??? just the idiot from last time is only issue. Hopefully the fish are biting in evening, might stay on lake after dark for an hr.

@rcfire77 so true what you are saying...a slip fee is less than a defense lawyer!

Hey @Dewworm and @live2fish ....sorry for the stupid question but what is "lfp" Maybe it's just late and my brain has went to sleep before my body? 😴 Thanks in advance for the clairification.
